Prototype tester wearing the Story Helmet in the workshop

Story Helmet is a wearable audio installation developed for GEM — Give-Egnens Museum. A modified helmet turned a familiar object into an immediate interface: putting it on began an individual listening experience inside a shared exhibition space.

I designed and built the physical interaction, audio playback and electronics. The prototype combines an Arduino-based control system, integrated electronics and audio edited in Audacity, bringing object, body, sound and space together as one coherent interface. The result was a robust, screen-free way to make a museum story feel personal without requiring a separate listening room.
