A tactile universe for patterns, rules and stories

Ada Squirrel is an illustrated, unplugged design universe for early-years settings, developed with Aalborg University as part of the DiCoTe project. It translates ideas from computing, patterns and mathematics into stories, characters and hands-on activities.

My role included shaping the visual world and the activity formats: a system of illustrations, printable components and prompts that make abstract ideas tangible without a screen. Children can build, draw, sort, mirror and tell stories while exploring sequences, rules and problem-solving through play.
